The immediate future of one of the Liverpool players has now been resolved.
A number of players are facing an uncertain future the club this year and the Liverpool side could lose some of their best players this year.
The likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all going to become free agents at the end of the season if they do not sign a new contract at Anfield.
Another playing constantly linked with a move away from the club is striker Darwin Nunez.
Some reports linked the attacker to a January move to the Saudi Pro League but journalist James Pearce of The Athletic has reported that the Uruguayan attacker is set to stay at the club till the end of the season.
The striker has been heavily criticised this season for his poor performances and his lack of goals but he was the game changer for the Reds against Brentford when he scored two late goals to win crucial three points for the Merseyside club to maintain their advantage in the title race.
Pearce wrote:
“Liverpool have not received any offers for Nunez this month, amid speculation about possible interest from the Saudi Pro League, but doubts about Nunez’s long-term future remain. There’s a big decision to be made in the summer but he was never going anywhere this month. Between now and May, Slot and his staff desperately need to get a tune out of him on a more regular basis.”

The attacker had only scored two Premier League goals all season before the match against Brentford but he made the impact for the Reds just when they needed it the most.
The three points he won for his side could be decisive at the end of the season and despite his long term future being uncertain at the club, fans will love his contribution if they end up winning the Premier League title.
Nunez may not have a long term future at the club and the Reds should definitely look for a more prolific attacker, someone who can contribute more on a regular basis.
The Reds have their eyes on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram to replace Nunez.
Another name that they are monitoring is Brighton attacker Joao Pedro who is having a fine season for the Premier League side.
