Here is the request we received at The Mag from the FSA:

‘We’re getting in touch with a variety of contacts, to remind them that the FSA’s AGM is heading to Manchester this summer, to ask them to help us spread the word.

When: Saturday 14th June, 10am-5pm Where: Manchester Metropolitan University Register: For free, HERE

As always, our event is free and open to all – providing you with the chance to input your ideas, concerns and campaign ideas into the national organisation representing matchgoing football fans, share your experiences, and find out more from FSA staff and volunteers about our work.

“The FSA’s AGM is a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved in the supporters’ movement – whether that’s fanzines, flag groups, supporter trusts or individual members – to come together to discuss the big issues facing the game today.” – FSA chair Tom Greatrex

We will be welcoming Martyn Henderson, the interim chief operating officer for the incoming independent football regulator (IREF), to discuss his work in building the regulatory body before the Football Governance Bill achieves royal assent later this year.

The Bill has been a huge piece of work for the FSA and the supporters’ movement more widely as we seek to secure lasting protections from irresponsible owners.

Throughout the day we will also be running dedicated breakout sessions for fans to discuss the following issues and campaigns with FSA staff and fellow fans

– Ticketing and the Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign – Broadcasting and the future of the 3pm blackout; – Women’s Football – Fans for Diversity – Football and the Climate Crisis – Women’s voice in the men’s game – Young supporters – Supporter engagement

Campaigns

It’s regular matchgoing fans and supporter groups that drive our campaigns forward and set our policy priorities. One way members can raise an area of concern is via a motion to propose a new area of FSA policy or campaign activity.
