Newcastle United face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday in the Premier League. They have won their last three matches after suffering back-to-back defeats. One of those wins marked their first major trophy in 70 years as they defeated Liverpool 2-1 in the EFL Cup final at Wembley. Spirits are high as they look to secure another away victory. Only Liverpool and Nottingham Forest have won more matches on the road than Eddie Howe's side in the league.

The Magpies are currently seventh in the table. However, they have two games in hand compared to their Champions League qualification rivals. A win on Monday will take them level on points with Chelsea who are currently fourth in the table.

Newcastle United's predicted lineup in the Premier League vs Leicester City (4-3-3):

Goalkeeper: Nick Pope

The Englishman seems to be back to his best. He would be disappointed with conceding a penalty in their last match against Brentford. Nevertheless, he is expected to keep his place.

Right Back: Kieran Trippier

The first major signing of the new regime has returned to the starting XI after an injury to Lewis Hall forced Howe to move Livramento to left-back. He did very well in the Brentford match and should retain his spot.

Center-Back: Fabian Schär

The senior outfield player in the squad. His experience and leadership will be important, and he should start again.

Center-Back: Dan Burn

A regular in the team. He is having the best spell of his career, scoring as his club won a major trophy, followed by an England call-up and a national team debut.

Left Back: Tino Livramento

Another regular in the team. He is among the top two in terms of appearances in the league for Newcastle and is set to start again.

Central Midfield: Bruno Guimarães

A key player. The Brazilian has started every league game under Eddie Howe this season in the Premier League.

Central Midfield: Sandro Tonali

The match-winner last time against Brentford with a stunning goal from the tightest of angles. The Italian should keep his place.

Central Midfield: Joelinton

The former forward has turned his career around after moving to midfield. He won the most duels in their last match and is expected to start again.

Right Wing: Jacob Murphy

He might be underrated compared to Gordon and Isak in the front three, but he's a player capable of stepping up when the team needs him. He got an assist in their cup final win and another against Brentford last week.

Center-Forward: Alexander Isak

The Swede is an injury doubt, but he is expected to start. One of the top players in the world at the moment, with 25 goal involvements in 26 league matches. He will be hoping to make it three goals in three matches for the club.

Left Attacking Midfield: Harvey Barnes

With Anthony Gordon a doubt, Barnes should keep his place. He assisted the winner last time.
