Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza who is spending the current campaign on loan at Osasuna.

In recent hours, the Red Devils have reportedly launched an onslaught for Bayern’s teenage striker Mathys Tel who has asked to leave the club before the end of the January transfer session due to the lack of playing time he’s been afforded at Vincent  Kompany’s court this season. This has prompted a major tug-of-war amongst Premier League clubs, as Arsenal and Spurs are equally interested in the Frenchman.

But according to Fichajes.net, United are also eyeing another player owned by the Bavarian giants, albeit for next season. The Spanish source claims the Red Devils are intrigued by the talented Zaragoza, a 23-year-old winger blessed with speed and trickery.

The diminutive player started his career at Malaga, and after a few loan spells, he became a staple with the first team. The winger was poached by Bayern Munich last February, spending the second half of the previous campaign on loan at the Allianz Arena. Despite only making seven appearances in Germany, Bayern still opted to buy him for €13 million.

Nevertheless, Kompany wasn’t too eager to rely on his services this season, so he was loaned out to Osasuna for the 2024/25 campaign. Zaragoza has thus far made 15 LaLiga appearances this term, scoring a single goal and providing five assists.

The source claims that the Spanish club would love to retain his services beyond the current campaign, but they’re aware that the steep competition will likely splash them out of the water.

The report insists that Man Utd are the early leaders in the race to sign the Spain international. Even though other top European clubs could be vying for the player’s signature, the Red Devils reportedly have the ‘upper hand’.
