Juventus have officially confirmed that captain Danilo has left the club after the two parties reached an agreement to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
The 33-year-old has left the club after a five-and-a-half year stay, during which time he won the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia twice. Juventus have confirmed that his departure will have no impact on the club’s finances given that he has agreed to walk away for free.
He has already said his goodbyes to the Juventus supporters in an emotional farewell message posted on social media on Monday morning.

Danilo is set to return to his native Brazil to sign for Flamengo. He had been linked with a move to join Antonio Conte’s Napoli, who sit at the top of the Serie A table, but has decided to return home for personal reasons instead.
His departure paves the way for Juve to announce their next January signing: Renato Veiga, who had his medical in Turin on Monday morning ahead of his loan move from Chelsea.
Veiga is set to join Juventus on a straight loan deal for the remainder of the 2024-25 season and follows Randal Kolo Muani and Alberto Costa, who have also joined the Old Lady in January.
