As the 2024-25 season comes to an end, clubs across Europe are getting increasingly occupied with their plans for the next season and the upcoming summer transfer window.
This is also the case for FC Barcelona, where Deco is already busy working to strengthen the team going forward.
SPORT has provided a report that outlines the plans of the Portuguese official for the Blaugrana team of the next season.
In terms of arrivals, Deco is clear that he wants a fullback, an attacking midfielder if there is an exit, and a forward who can play in different positions and can score goals. Signing a goalkeeper is also not ruled out, especially if Wojciech Szczesny does not agree to a contract renewal.

However, to make these signings, the Catalans will have to make some sales, and the Barcelona Sporting Director is willing to listen to offers for several players who are not expected to be undisputed starters for Hansi Flick next season.
There are some players who can bring in a significant cash injection for the Blaugrana club, but still, the players will not be actively put on the market. Meanwhile, Deco has already made it clear to several agents that the sales of some of these players can be negotiated.
Keeping in view how the current season has gone, the most likely candidates for departures are Inaki Pena, Ronald Araujo, Hector Fort, one of Fermin Lopez or Gavi, Pablo Torre, Pau Victor, and Ansu Fati. Although Frenkie de Jong has gained in prominence in Hansi Flick’s plans lately, he will also be sold if he does not agree to a contract renewal.
In short, Deco understands that barring Lamine Yamal, no one is untouchable in this squad, and offers coming for any of these players would be studied carefully. Thus, there can be several departures in the coming summer transfer window, and Deco would once again be having very busy few months coming ahead for him.
