Orlando Pride has signed forward Prisca Chilufya, who joins the Pride from FC Juarez in Liga MX Femenil on terms not disclosed. The Zambian international has signed a three-year contract, keeping her at the club through 2027.
Orlando Pride's Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter spoke after the addition of Chilufya to the roster.
"We're excited to welcome Prisca to Orlando Pride. She's an energetic forward who offers great skill, pace, and a real pedigree for scoring goals to our attack."
The club also outlined her international experience, having played in various leagues and top competitions. According to Carter, the forward will offer an immediate impact while also providing long-term potential to the team.
Prisca Chilufya started her career in 2023 at FC Juarez, for which she has already made 14 goals in 48 appearances. She has already managed four goals this season, one of which came within three minutes of kick-off in a match against Pumas-a game in which she was hailed as Player of the Match.
Before making her way into FC Juarez, she was briefly with the Turkish second division club Fatih Karagumruk, and she has won four matches by netting four goals in seven appearances. To add, she did feature in Kazakhstan's top league, scoring 18 goals in 14 matches for Tomris Turan.
Along with playing in the different leagues, Chilufya has also played in the UEFA Women's Champions League, scoring her first goal in the competition back in 2021 while playing for BIIK Kazygurt.
The Zambian forward has always been a part of the national team since 2018. She had participated in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations and was in the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.
In 2024, Chilufya was called to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations and into the Paris Olympics as she played every game for her nation.
Prisca Chilufya expressed her excitement about this new chapter in her career, seeing the opportunity to play in the NWSL as a major step forward.

The forward also shared her ambition to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the field, believing that Orlando Pride provides an ideal environment for her growth.

The club is still preparing for the 2025 NWSL season, and Chilufya has been added to the roster as the latest reinforcement in attack.
