Pep Guardiola drops a hint as to when the 115 verdict is coming | OneFootball

The hearing over Manchester City’s 115 case concluded in December. Since then the football world has been awaiting a verdict in the case. The independent panel which heard the case is currently deliberating and a verdict is expected in the near future. Speaking ahead of his team’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Leyton Orient, Pep Guardiola may have dropped a hint as to when the verdict may land.

Pep Guardiola was asked about Manchester City’s January spending during the embargoed section of his pre-game press conference. It was there when the City manager dropped a potential hint at when the verdict may land. He explained: “It (the verdict) will be soon, I think in one month I think will be the verdict to do it. And the sentence, and after we will see my opinion about what happened so far. Still, at the end, every club can do whatever they want. Right? And if we can spend, it’s because we have the money. The money because in the last five years, three years.”

Everyone associated with the game is awaiting the verdict in the 115 case. For Manchester City they have maintained their innocence since the charges were announced. When the verdict is finally reached we will know if City’s stance has been proven correct. The subject has dominated the headlines ever since the Premier League’s charges were announced in February of 2023. But we are getting closer to a conclusion of sorts in the entire affair. But a verdict may only part of the process that lies in wait.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see either Manchester City or the Premier League appeal the verdict when it is announced. But that is depending on what the verdict is. Pep Guardiola may have given a hint as to when the verdict will be announced. We now wait to see if Guardiola’s opinion is on the money or not.
