Inter Milan got an important win over Young Boys in their third match of the season in the Champions League.

It certainly wasn’t an easy victory for the Nerazzurri. The Swiss team pushed them hard despite their status as underdogs going into the match.

But Inter were able to hold Young Boys off, getting another clean sheet. They had already prevented Manchester City and Red Star Belgrade from scoring going into the match.

And at the other end, Marcus Thuram left it very late to get the winning goal.

The Frenchman scored in stoppage time. That along with the clean sheet was enough to give Inter the 1-0 win.

And as football stats account Opta notes, “For the first time in their history, Inter have kept three clean sheets in the first three games of a Champions League edition. Wall.”
