Our Premier League Awards honour the best – and worst – of the Boxing Day action.

Moment of the Week

Fulham fans have waited a long time for this.

The club’s West London rivalry with Chelsea has been a rather one-sided affair, with the Cottagers having not celebrated a win at Stamford Bridge for over four decades. Boxing Day provided a late present for those supporters, however, as Marco Silva’s side snatched a comeback win at Chelsea. Trailing in the 82nd minute, Harry Wilson levelled for the visitors before substitute Rodrigo Muniz stunned the hosts with a stoppage time winner.

Player of the Week

To say a player singlehandedly saves a team from relegation is a disservice to their teammates, but several stars have been labelled saviours in the Premier League era.

Matt Le Tisser’s heroics were credited with keeping Southampton afloat in the nineties, while Christophe Duggary and Carlos Tevez are others who had irreplaceable impacts on relegation escapes.

Is Matheus Cunha heading towards that company? The Brazilian has been exceptional in a poor Wolves team this season and starred during their 2-0 win over Manchester United.

After an Olimpico effort to open the scoring from a corner, he set up the second for Hwang Hee-Chan to seal the win. It’s now seven goals and four assists in his last 10 league games. In a struggling side, that’s phenomenal output.

Manager of the Week

Five years ago, Marco Silva was at his lowest ebb in management after being sacked at Everton. A miserable Merseyside Derby defeat ended in tenure, but Fulham has been the perfect platform to restore his reputation.

After leading the west Londoners back into the Premier League, he’s consolidated the Cottagers from a yo-yo existence and is now pushing for a place in Europe.

On Boxing Day, he led Fulham to a first win at rivals Chelsea in 45 years to make it a Christmas to celebrate at The Cottage. Just a point outside the top six, Fulham are daring to dream of European nights again.

Goal of the Week

Newcastle have found their form in recent weeks and thrashed top-four rivals Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Anthony Gordon got the home side up and running with a sublime effort curled into the far corner, as the Magpies made another lightning start.

Save of the Week

A magnificent save to cap a top-drawer performance.

Fulham shot-stopper Bernd Leno needed to be at full stretch to deny Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea. It was one of seven saves the shot-stopper made as Fulham secured a famous win at Stamford Bridge.
