PSV Eindhoven ultras invaded a lower-league fixture between AFC Wimbledon and Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night, ahead of their teams match against Arsenal.

A number of PSV Eindhoven fans turned up in London a day early for Wednesday’s match against Arsenal, and they took the opportunity to attend a League Two clash between AFC Wimbledon and Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night.

Despite only being Dons fans for the day, many of the PSV supporters appeared to have bought club scarves and shirts to support the home side.

Sadly for all those in attendance in the Wimbledon ends of the ground, the hosts slipped to a 2-1 defeat.

Ashley Hay gave Cheltenham a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, and though Marcus Browne equalised in the 37th, Matt Taylor secured victory for the away side with a goal 11 minutes before full time.

The PSV fans were clearly respectful of the home support, as they could be seen in the match highlights joining in with the celebrations for the equaliser and sharing in the disappointment at Cheltenham’s late winner.

With PSV 7-1 down after the last-16 first leg match against Arsenal, the fans probably haven’t turned up to London with high expectations. They’re here to back their team and enjoy themselves, and Tuesday’s lower-league encounter was just part of the experience.
