Real Madrid star spent the last week ‘studying’ Barcelona attacker for El Clásico | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid spent the last week closely studying film of Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Fran García as the player in question.

Fran, for his part, is currently locked in action, in a potentially season-defining outing for he and his Real Madrid teammates.

This comes with Los Blancos having made the trip to Catalunya’s capital, for a La Liga showdown with table-topping arch rivals Barcelona.

With all of Ferland Mendy, David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga sidelined through injury, Fran had long been aware that he would be afforded a starting berth at left-back for the season’s final Clásico.

And in an effort to ensure the best possible individual performance, the Spaniard did his homework…

As per a report from Marca, Fran has spent the week to date studying and anaylsing footage of Lamine Yamal, to best prepare himself to keep tabs on the 17-year-old.

It now remains to be seen if such endeavours pay dividends…
