Fabrizio Romano has delivered the latest updates on Chelsea’s attempts to sign winger Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich this transfer window.

I say transfer window but really, there are just now four full days left of it, so I should really say in these next days. It has got to that time of the window now where it is all or nothing, leaving me absolutely puzzled once again as to why Chelsea have left any business right until the final moments. If they really want to sign a new attacker this window, then why is it not done already? It’s ridiculous to leave it all this late and then scramble around at the last minute. They are doing the same with player sales as well, only confirming one departure so far and that is only a loan move.

Nothing else seems to be advancing right now and even though we keep hearing of links to Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United as well, nothing has moved for that one right now either.

Romano put his latest YouTube video out last night and he had some info on Chelsea’s attempts to sign Tel this month. It doesn’t sound like it’s going great and that they have a great chance of landing him at a ll.

He says:

“Chelsea have been pushing for a permanent transfer for Mathys Tel since the beginning of January, but they have many offensive players, and Tel really wants to play, so this is why Chelsea need big action to convince him. Not easy.”

I’m sure that he will end up picking a club where he knows he will absolutely get more minutes than he will get at Chelsea, who have spent a lot of money signing new attackers in the summer.
