Chelsea hold an advantage over rivals Liverpool in the race for Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike according to reports.
The Blues are once again set for another busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical window and have already agreed a deal for Liam Delap, and whilst they could look to bring another striker in, the Blues are looking for a centre back and right footed winger.
With a deal for Delap agreed it’s unclear if Chelsea will move for another striker or not, but that hasn’t stopped them being linked with Ekitike.
Frankfurt are said to want €100m for Ekitike who scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, with Liverpool also said to be interested.

Bundesliga expert Christian Falk has provided an update on the race for Ekitike and has reported Chelsea hold an advantage over Liverpool in the race for the France under-21 international.
“Chelsea hold the advantage over Liverpool for Hugo Ekitiké,” he said in his Fact Files column.
“Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal were previously considered the top favourites for Hugo Ekitiké. But the three-man competition has now turned into a two-club battle.
“At the moment, Chelsea, who qualified for the Champions League in fourth place, hold the best cards in the Ekitiké poker.
“Chelsea are already in dialogue with the player’s side and could soon get serious. But Liverpool are also still in the race, despite the upcoming record transfer of Florian Wirtz.”
Mark Brus from Caught Offside has done some tactical analysis on the young Frenchman which offers an insight into what Chelsea fans can possibly expect were he to join.
Chelsea have also been linked with Strasbourg’s Emanuel Emegha who scored 14 Ligue 1 goals as Chelsea’s sister club qualified for the Conference League.

The 22-year-old only arrived in France last summer from Austrian side Sturm Graz for €13m but the Dutch under-21 international could be on the move again.
Fabrizio Romano believes Chelsea will reach a pre-agreement for Emegha this summer for the striker to join in 2026.
