Liverpool are entering a defining week of their season, balancing the pursuit of domestic and European glory. A 3-1 victory over Southampton at the weekend kept their Premier League title charge on track, but there’s little time to reflect as attention swiftly turns to the Champions League.

A narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain gives Arne Slot’s side the upper hand ahead of the return fixture at Anfield. With a Wembley date against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Final also looming, every available body in the squad could prove crucial.
Here’s the latest on Liverpool’s injury concerns as they prepare for a pivotal few days.
Cody Gakpo was absent from the squad that saw off Southampton, with Slot confirming the Dutch forward had not returned to full training in time for the match.
“He didn’t train yesterday yet, so let’s see if he can train with us today,” Slot explained in his pre-match press conference.
“Again, [a] close call it will probably be. It’s not a long-term injury but he still had a bit of pain yesterday so he was not able to train. Let’s see where he is today, so I can’t give you the answer yet.”

Gakpo’s availability remains uncertain, with his return hinging on late assessments ahead of PSG’s visit.
Potential return date: Unknown
Conor Bradley’s absence has stretched to four matches since he was forced off against Aston Villa last month. The young full-back has been a revelation this season, but Liverpool have been forced to cope without him due to a muscle injury.

Slot’s recent comments suggest patience will be required before his return.
“Conor Bradley isn’t ok,” he confirmed.
“He is out for a few weeks. It is clear that he went off with a muscle injury and it will take a while before he is back.”
With crucial fixtures on the horizon, Bradley’s recovery will be closely monitored.
Potential return date: Unknown
Joe Gomez’s campaign has been punctuated by setbacks, and his latest hamstring injury is another frustration for both player and club. The defender sustained the issue in December against West Ham, briefly returning before suffering a recurrence in the FA Cup loss to Plymouth.

Slot delivered an update on Gomez’s situation, confirming that he faces another spell on the sidelines.
“He is going to be out for a number of weeks because of a hamstring injury,” he said.
“It’s a big blow for Joe and for us. He tries everything to be with the team. He works really hard to come back and then first game when he came back, after two or three minutes we saw him making a sprint and now he is out for weeks again.”
The 26-year-old has endured a difficult time with injuries in recent years, and Liverpool will be hoping for a swift return to action.
Potential return date: Unknown
Liverpool’s medical team will be working overtime to get key players fit for the crucial weeks ahead. With PSG and Newcastle waiting in the wings, every selection decision could be decisive in the club’s pursuit of silverware.
