Having already been the subject of a rebuffed £40 million bid from Napoli, Alejandro Garnacho has another club mulling over a late window swoop.
Indeed, Manchester United are reportedly bracing themselves for a formal approach from Chelsea, who plan to ‘return to the charge in the coming hours’, as per L’Equipe.
The Stamford Bridge outfit have been pondering over how to tackle the situation in recent days by holding talks with United, with Garnacho’s valuation now said to be in the region of £80 million. In truth, you couldn’t blame the club for increasing their demands – not only because they could be selling their academy graduate to a direct rival but also because sanctioning his exit so close to the deadline would make it considerably harder to find his successor.
They are, however, among the mix of Premier League sides sizing up a move for Bayern Munich wantaway Mathys Tel.

Tel, 19, informed the board of his desire to leave before Monday, provoking the attention of the Reds, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
He’s thought to favour a move to Old Trafford and is prioritising increased game time wherever he takes his exploits next.
The U21 French international, who’s spent the last three years in Germany, would act as a like-for-like replacement for Garnacho – though it remains to be seen if Ruben Amorim will want to green-light the sale of one of his most ‘impactful’ forwards.
Garnacho has notched eight goals and five assists in all competitions this term and has been given the nod in four of the last five matches, making it crystal clear where he ranks in the boss’ estimations.
