Milan are determined to make another attempt to sign Samuele Ricci from Torino this January despite recently facing the club’s reluctance to sell the player.
The Rossoneri are said to have repeatedly tried to persuade the Granata to change their stance on the Italy international, albeit without success.

However, with midfielders like Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana currently working overtime, the club believes there is a need for fresh energy and depth in that area of the field, and the 23-year-old remains the favourite option to bolster the department.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are planning to try to win Torino’s resistance with a loan offer, including loan an obligation to buy for next summer.
Such a strategy would allow the Rossoneri to spread out the financial burden, which could prove particularly helpful considering that they are also willing to invest in a new striker and that the Granata are expected to demand more than €25m for Ricci.

But more than anything else, the deal looks complicated due to Torino’s unwillingness to lose a key player in the winter transfer window, which could prompt the Diavolo to postpone their plans to sign the midfielder to next summer, when they could also face competition from other clubs.
