Milan try to shake off Champions League disappointment by hosting troubled Verona with Santiago Gimenez, Riccardo Sottil and Joao Felix, but rest several big names.
It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 GMT.
The Rossoneri continue to be frustratingly inconsistent, managing seven points in the last three Serie A games and qualifying for the Coppa Italia semi-finals, but then losing 1-0 away to Feyenoord in the Champions League play-off.
The second leg of that tie is on Tuesday, so Sergio Conceicao rests Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic, while Fikayo Tomori is suspended.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Emerson Royal and Alessandro Florenzi are also still out injured, but Warren Bondo is on the Milan bench for the first time since the move from Monza.
It means deadline day signings Joao Felix and Sottil start, supporting Mexico international Gimenez.
The Milan system returns to a 4-2-3-1 after the failure of starting the so-called Fab Four.

Hellas Verona had been improving with a 1-1 draw away to Venezia and 1-0 at Monza, but their confidence came crashing back down when swept aside 5-0 at home by Atalanta.
Daniele Ghilardi is suspended, but Ondrej Duda returns from his ban.
The absentee list includes Casper Tengstedt, Suat Serdar, Martin Frese and Abdou Harroui.
