Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has revealed the one thing he believes Todd Boehly is actually wrong about.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their takeover of Chelsea almost three years ago and it’s safe to say it’s been turbulent both off and on the pitch.

The new owners have completely revamped the playing squad, investing over £1bn on players, whilst they have completely changed the infrastructure of the club.

Jordan reveals what Boehly is wrong about

Chelsea are now on their fifth manager in less than three seasons under this ownership and the club desperately need stability in that position.

Enzo Maresca is the man currently in the dug-out and Chelsea believe he can become one of the best coaches in the industry.

Mistakes are expected when a new ownership comes in, especially when the takeover had to be rushed through, but fans aren’t happy with how the club is being run.

There was a protest against the ownership before last month’s win against Southampton, with fans desperate for the recruitment model to change and for some experienced players to be signed.

Boehly recently spoke at The Financial Times Business of Football Summit, where he discussed a broad range of topics, including the fan protest and the difficulty of signing a striker.

Whilst speaking about fan criticism he mentioned that the new ownership had only been in place for three years, and claimed that wasn’t a long time.

However, Jordan has taken issue with those comments and believes Boehly was wrong to say that and explained why.

“One thing Todd Boehly is wrong about is three years is a long time in football,” he told talkSPORT as cited on X.com.
