AC Milan were back at the training ground today and according to a report, Luka Jovic’s back was ‘much better’ even if he continued to work individually.
It was in the warm-ups ahead of Venezia-Milan that Jovic experienced back pain, so much so that Sergio Conceicao made a late change to the starting XI. Since then, the striker has been on the sidelines as the tests revealed back pain, but ruled out a serious injury.
According to Sky Italia this evening, Jovic’s condition was ‘much better’ during today’s training session, even if he continued his individual program. Emerson Royal also didn’t participate in the group training, instead focusing on the re-athleticization work.
It was also the first training session for the rest of the squad since Saturday, having enjoyed two full days off after the game against Venezia. It certainly made sense for Conceicao to grant them that rest, with the Genoa clash scheduled for Monday and not this weekend.
Furthermore, as added by the report, there has been a very positive atmosphere at Milanello in the last few weeks. After heavy turbulence, there is now a ‘serene’ mood and the alternatives are also working hard in training, aiming to follow the path of Jovic.
