Manchester City are targeting both Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush in a sensational double swoop this January.
Pep Guardiola’s side need a mid-season boost to help them push on in the second half of what’s been a disappointing season, and landing both Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush would certainly go some way to doing that.
Sources have told CaughtOffside that both players are in advanced talks with the reigning Premier League champions, and that Guardiola believes the 19-year-old Uzbek can become an important defender in the future.

Talks are continuing with Lens for Khusanov with sources advancing that he’s close to a verbal agreement on personal terms.
It would seem that the club will need to move quickly, however, as all of Marseille, PSG, Wolverhampton, Tottenham and Newcastle United are also chasing the young defender.
There was always going to be big changes afoot at City given just how poor they’ve been of late.
If they were to land Khusanov and Marmoush too, that would be more than a consolation.
Sources have also noted that talks for the latter, who wants the move from Eintracht Frankfurt, are well advanced and likely to conclude shortly.
That will disappoint Aston Villa, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool who were all attracted by the possibility of landing the Egyptian.
His performances in the Bundesliga this season have had Europe’s biggest clubs sitting up and taking notice, and that’s ostensibly why he didn’t respond in a positive or timely manner to Eintracht’s offer of a contract extension.
