Stadium turnstile upgrades – What you need to know

Now that the domestic season is over, we are upgrading the turnstiles at both the Etihad Stadium and Joie Stadium as part of our stadium-wide efforts to invest in the latest technology.

The new turnstiles, installation of which began this week, will over time make entry quicker and easier for fans.

What this means for you

Apart from the addition of a new screen for scanning your ticket, the new turnstiles will not affect the way you enter the stadium on a matchday.

In line with our commitment to incorporating the latest technology stadium-wide, the new turnstiles are being installed with cameras so that some staff can display their accreditation. But the cameras will not be in operation on a matchday for fans as they enter the stadium.

Because of the upgrade, current Season Tickets or Cityzens Membership passes will no longer be active. Here’s what to expect:

From next week, your Season Ticket or Cityzens Membership pass will move to the expired section of your phone wallet – or you can delete it manually.
Ahead of next season, we will send you a new Season Ticket or Cityzens Membership pass to download, along with simple instructions and more information about the new turnstiles. Downloading your new pass will be straightforward with only a few steps.
Fans who use a physical Season Ticket for accessibility reasons will be contacted separately, and a replacement season ticket will be issued to them.
