Thiago Motta emerges as Atalanta’s potential Gian Piero Gasperini replacement | OneFootball

Serie A giants Juventus sacked Thiago Motta last week and now, he has emerged as a candidate to replace Gian Piero Gasperini at Atalanta.

Igor Tudor has already taken over at Juve and Motta now finds himself without a job, only eight months after leaving Bologna to join the Bianconeri.

TuttoAtalanta have reported today that Tudor was an option for Atalanta, if Gasperini leaves in the summer. Maurizio Sarri is also seen as a potential target. Vincenzo Italiano, who is currently doing well at Bologna, could have been a target if he wasn’t contracted to the Rossoblu.

Amidst this difficulty, the idea of Motta ending up at Atalanta has now gained traction. His free agency is certainly a bonus and he is seen as a candidate who can replicate Gasperini in Bergamo.

While the situation is still very much open as Gasperini is still at Atalanta, Francesco Farioli can emerge as a surprise candidate, as time goes on.
