What can you say about Eddie Howe and these Newcastle United players?

There is one thing for sure.

Just like any other fanbase, the Newcastle United one moves the goalposts when going on a very positive run of results and performances.

Winning matches becomes addictive and when that fix suddenly disappears, so many fans sadly can’t handle it.

Denied the rush of yet another victory, a significant minority of Newcastle United supporters become totally irrational, lose all perspective and struggle to see the reality.

A defeat against another team who are in the top half of the Premier League, in great form themselves and having pulled off many great results of their own, that all becomes irrelevant seemingly for this minority of over the top NUFC fans.

Here is the reality.

Then even when you extend it further, these are the Newcastle United stats of the last fifteen weeks, back to late October 2024:

This has been phenomenal.

The last nine weeks in particular but even going back 15 weeks, the Newcastle United stats are superb.

Anybody who doesn’t think Eddie Howe is doing a brilliant job, words fail me…

When you look more closely, these results include away wins over Man U away, Spurs away, Chelsea home, Villa home, three (THREE!) wins over Arsenal, whilst that 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool wasn’t too shabby either.

When you drill down further and see that over these last 15 weeks, it includes away form of Played 9 Won 7 Drawn 1 Lost 1, that is astonishing for our regular travelling fans.

Yes, it hurts whenever Newcastle United lose a match.

That is the way it is meant to be if you are a football fan.

However, keep a bit of perspective on occasions when things go against Eddie Howe and these Newcastle United players.
