Barcelona’s hopes for a strong showing in this weekend’s El Clasico are being bolstered by the return of key players, with Alejandro Balde, Robert Lewandowski, and Marc Casado all pushing to be included in the squad for the high-stakes match.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the trio has shown great determination to recover from their injuries and make an impact against Real Madrid.

In the latest training session, Balde showcased significant progress in his recovery from a left thigh injury, which had sidelined him for several matches.

The young left-back is now ready to compete for a spot in manager Hansi Flick’s starting XI, providing an extra option on the left flank. Balde’s return could provide valuable depth as Barcelona face Real Madrid in a potential title decider.

Meanwhile, Casado, who had been recovering from a partial tear of the external lateral ligament in his right knee, is also nearing full fitness.

The midfielder is pushing to be included in the squad list and is expected to be cleared for action after two months of rehabilitation.

On the other hand, Lewandowski, having fully recovered from his injury, is keen to secure a starting role against Madrid.

The Polish striker was given a brief cameo appearance in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, where he played in extra time and injury time.

Now, with one more goal than Kylian Mbappe in the race for the ‘Pichichi’, the Poland international feels physically ready to take on the challenge in the El Clasico.

His presence in the starting lineup would offer Barcelona a much-needed attacking threat against their rivals.

With these three key players on the mend, Barcelona will be looking to field their strongest possible side as they aim for a positive result against Real Madrid this weekend.
