Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Sergio Reguilon “will get further opportunities” after Tottenham lost Destiny Udogie to injury.

Udogie has been ruled out for six weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in the 2-2 draw with Wolves.

Reguilon looked set to leave Spurs in January but Postecoglou only has three fit full-backs in Pedro Porro, Djed Spence and Reguilon.

Postecoglou has made it clear Reguilon is not in his plans but Spurs have had to turn to the 28-year-old is recent weeks and he has made two substitute appearances against Mancehster United in the Carabao Cup and then against Wolves last weekend.

Asked if Reguilon will get more games now Udogie is out, Postecoglou said: “He played last week and yeah it just depends on the situation.

“He's been available all year but obviously at the moment we've got, you know it's no secret, we've got quite a lot of our defenders out and obviously we lost Destiny now for a period of time.

“It's going to be a while, so yeah, Reggy, I'm sure will get more opportunities.”

Yang Min-hyeok has started training with Spurs following his move from Gangwon FC.

Asked if Spurs have a plan for the South Korean teenager, Postecoglou said: “No real plan at the moment. Just let him settle.

“He is still very young and has come in from the other side of the world where the level of competition is nowhere near what he is going to face here.

“We will just give him time to adapt. It helps that Sonny is here and kind of helps him around when he is at the club and outside the club.

“We are just trying to get him settled early and give him the chance to settle in. No real plan, we will just take it as it goes with him and see how he settles in.”
