Tottenham Hotspur announced today that they would be changing their badge as a part of their "remastered brand identity", and it has gone down as expected on social media.
The change sees them drop the team name from the logo entirely, changing it to solely the cockerel standing on the football, in what they claim "enables a more playful, daring approach for the Club’s brand across the multitude of platforms on which it now features".
Unfortunately, plenty pointed out that the brand name was actually quite an important feature, and Tech sellers Currys proved the point with their own "remastering" of their logo.
Safe to say the new icon will take some getting used to.
