Some more big transfer news coming out this Thursday lunchtime very much involves Chelsea, and it has done all this week to be honest.

The Blues, who were expecting to be one of the more quieter clubs, are now very much involved in a host of potential dramatic transfer situations where we see players sold, and potentially even new players arrive at Stamford Bridge this month as well. For Chelsea fans, all of a sudden the January transfer window has become pretty exciting.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea eyeing move for 22-year-old PSG player!!

What could happen?

Well, Chelsea have been linked to wanting to sign Kobbie Mainoo from Manchester United, so that is one to watch.

Another is the Liam Delap situation at Ipswich, he could now come in to play this month if Chelsea do decide they want another new striker in the door.

And then at the back, The Blues are looking to bring in a new centre back this month, with links to two former players Marc Guehi and Trevoh Chalobah, who are both currently at Crystal Palace. Chalobah of course is only on loan, but Chelsea have been pondering a recall.

Chalobah involved in Guehi deal?

Chelsea looking to bring Guehi back

Chelsea could actually now look to use Chalobah as a makeweight to sign Guehi rather than recall him, but a latest update from The Daily Mail suggests that idea has now his a stumbling block.

The report states that Chelsea’s plan to use Trevoh Chalobah as a makeweight in a deal for Marc Guehi could stumble over wages. There is some doubt that Palace would even be able to agree a salary package with Chalobah.

Palace are open to signing Chalobah on a permanent basis but would rather it DID NOT involve Guehi.

So Chelsea may have to fork out the cash IF they really want to sign Guehi back.
