Liverpool are reeling from the impending loss of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Reds are set to wave goodbye to their 26-year-old homegrown hero, with Real Madrid widely expected to be his next destination.
Trent last signed a contract renewal back in 2021, allowing his terms to lapse and thereby leaving on a free transfer this summer. It is a bitter pill to swallow for Liverpool fans, who would have liked the right-back to remain a one-club man.

Alas, Trent’s ambition to be seen as “one of the best right-backs in history” - according to Defensa Central - has led him to the Bernabeu.
The England defender will put pen to paper on a contract with the Spanish capital club in the upcoming weeks, and they even have plans to sign him in time for the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
The Defensa Central report also detailed WHEN Madrid plan to make the announcement.
Los Blancos are desperate to move on from a disappointing season - losing out in LaLiga to Barcelona and to the same opposition in the Copa del Rey as well as exiting the Champions League at the quarter-final stage.
In order to help move forward towards next season, Madrid plan to make Trent’s signing official as soon as next week. Liverpool’s final game of the season comes on Sunday versus Crystal Palace and after that we could see Trent’s Real Madrid arrival confirmed.

“With the end of the season just days away, Real Madrid plans to announce Arnold next week,” the report states.
“A decision that reflects Real Madrid's determination to begin making changes to its roster. Having been able to wait longer, Real Madrid has decided to start preparing for next season as soon as possible.
“The proximity of the announcement also makes it clear that Arnold, after several months, cannot wait any longer to make the announcement.”
