Igor Tudor insisted that Juventus’s potential is ‘greater than what we’re currently seeing’, but refused to comment on his personal future as the Bianconeri prepare to take on Venezia in their final Serie A match of the season on Sunday.

Juventus will be playing for a spot in the Champions League away against Venezia on Sunday.

The race for the final spot in the top four is currently in Juventus’s hands, as they sit in fourth place on 67 points, one point above Roma in fifth and two above Lazio in sixth heading into the final games of the 2024-25 season.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Tudor discussed a number of topics, including Juve’s latest injury returns, the job that awaits them in Venice and the mentality that his team requires.

Tudor began his press conference with a word for the newly-crowned Serie A Champions: “I want to congratulate Napoli,” he said, reported via TMW.

He then responded to a question asking if Juventus will need more ‘head or heart’ against Venezia, insisting: “It’s a good question and both parts will be needed. It’s an important game and we have to focus on the pitch. In the league, whoever deserves it wins.

Tudor also revealed that Renato Veiga and Weston McKennie returned to full training on Saturday, having worked individually on Friday. There was also a positive update on Teun Koopmeiners, who has been out since mid-April.

“Renato and McKennie had problems, but they trained with us today. Koopmeiners trained with us. The Gatti situation remains the same.”

Tudor went on to discuss what he expects to see from Juventus against Venezia, and also gave a verdict of his time with Juventus ahead of what could be his final game in charge of the club.

“Numbers and calculations are not part of my thinking. I just focus on what’s on the pitch. Juve’s potential is greater than what we are currently seeing.”

“The team is doing well and are focused, growing. I really liked the last game, I’ve seen growth from day one.

“With me, every game has been important. For me, this team has done almost nothing wrong. The team gives me confidence for tomorrow. They want to take what is theirs. The team is ready.”

While mentality is important, Tudor does not deny the fact that ‘top’ sides need quality in their squads as well.

“If you don’t have quality, you won’t even win Serie C. Quality is decisive in the end. You always have to have balance, having the right mix is a good thing.

“I don’t want to talk about myself, it’s ugly. I think we’ve done a good job with my staff. Now I’m focused on this last step. We need to get on the ball and play a game that will be difficult and demanding.

“I don’t look at anything. I talk to the players. Tomorrow, I want to organise a nice video session and I won’t think about anything else. Then, at 19.45 it’s a matter of life or death, everything else is irrelevant.”
