The 2025 winter transfer window closed for FC Barcelona on 3rd February without any major changes in the Blaugrana squad. The Catalans got Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registered with a court order and also renewed Araujo, Pedri, and Gavi, but no new players were incorporated and none of their current players departed.
However, the latter possibility has not really been exhausted yet, as the winter transfer window has not yet closed in some countries. One such country is Turkey, where the market is set to remain active till 12th February.
One of the teams in the Turkish Super Lig, Besiktas, are interested in a Barcelona forward, Ansu Fati, and according to SPORT, they have redoubled their efforts to convince the La Masia graduate to join their ranks.
The winger is still reluctant to leave, but the Blaugranes have given a free hand to the Turks to convince the Spaniard for a move.
Fati has already let the Catalan club know of his intentions to stay, despite the fact that he has played only a minimal amount of minutes this season, and has not even been called up for the squad for several games lately, including for the last game against Valencia.
His agent, Jorge Mendes, has tried to find another destination for the player, but Fati does not want to relive the experience of a failed loan, following his failed stint at Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Turkish side had already tried to land the forward before the market closed in Spain, and Barcelona would have allowed them to sign the player, but Fati himself did not give the green light to such a move. Now, they have once again returned with renewed hopes of being able to convince the Spaniard.
Another Turkish side, Fenerbahce, with Jose Mourinho in charge, were also interested in him, but are remaining on the sidelines for now.
