Two transfer-linked Barcelona stars confirm their plans for next season | OneFootball

Two headline members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona have this week provided updates on their respective futures with the club.

The pair in question? Robert Lewandowski, and Marc-André ter Stegen.

Both frontman Lewandowski and goalkeeper Ter Stegen have of course seen their names cast into the spotlight by media outlets ahead of the summer.

This comes amid suggestions that, in the case of moving to rejuvenate the club’s squad by way of younger reinforcements, the pair could be sacrificed to create space.

During respective exchanges with the media on Sunday, however, Lewandowski and Ter Stegen made full use of the opportunity to shut any and all chatter surrounding their names down.

First, the former assured:

“I will stay at Barça, it’s not even a topic. For sure. I’m sure our team will be stronger and I want to win even more.”

Ter Stegen, consistently linked with an upcoming Camp Nou exit over recent days, then added:

”I know that I will be in Barcelona next year. For me, the situation has not changed in principle. I’m very excited for next season.”
