Video: Okafor leaves Milan and heads for RB Leipzig: ‘It was the best option’ | OneFootball

Milan forward Noah Okafor has spoken to the press from the Linate airport in Milan, where he is preparing to board a flight heading for Germany ahead of his move to RB Leipzig.

The Switzerland international is set to join the Bundesliga outfit on loan with an option to buy. Reports suggest that Leipzig will pay 1.5m to take him on loan, and will have an option to make the move permanent for a fee of around 25m at a later date.

What Okafor said about his Milan exit

“I go now to Lipsia, Sempre Milan, you never know in life, maybe you see me again, but for me it was the best option,” Okafor told journalists outside the airport when asked if he regrets leaving Milan.

He then continued: “Thanks for everything in Milan. Thanks for the Tifosi, it was great, it always holds a place in my heart.”

Okafor’s exit is expected to pave the way for new Milan arrivals in January. The Rossoneri remain in talks for both Marcus Rashford of Manchester United and his England international teammate Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
