The representative of recent Barcelona sale Vitor Roque has on Monday hinted that his client could one day secure a move back to the Camp Nou.

Roque’s tumultuous stint on the books of Barcelona was of course brought to a definitive end late last week.

This came after Brazilian heavyweights Palmeiras tabled an offer which couldn’t be refused, in ensuring the Blaugrana almost the entirety of the sum which they forked over to bring the striker in last January.

Roque’s loan terms with Real Betis, in turn, were cut short, allowing the 20-year-old to head back to his home country on a permanent basis.

And yet, despite the rocky nature of his Barca spell, and widespread accusations of poor treatment and planning on the part of the Catalans, Roque could yet one day reunite with his former employers.

That’s according to agent André Cury, anyway.

Speaking during an interview with RAC1, as cited by Diario Sport, on Monday, Cury had the following to say when asked about his client’s relationship wih Barcelona:

“I think he could return to Barça in a few years. He can go to any club in Europe. When we came to Barcelona I had an offer three times bigger from Tottenham and we decided to come to Barcelona for a good project. That’s how things are.”

Cury continued:

“We know Barça well. They demand a lot, there is a lot of pressure and the press doesn’t help in this sense, saying that one is better and one is worse. Young players have to be calm in order to demonstrate their performance over time. When he arrived in January, I think it was Barça’s worst month in history and they conceded 30 goals in a month. When a team concedes 30 goals everything is more difficult. My opinion is that Vitor Roque is like Araújo. When they signed Araújo, the first few months they said he couldn’t play for Barça and then, with time and work, he demonstrated his quality as a player.”
