Liverpool took another giant step towards the Premier League title this weekend.
Arne Slot’s side came from behind to beat Southampton 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday, before nearest challengers Arsenal dropped points at Manchester United.
It’s three without a win for Arsenal in the Premier League, a run that has seen Liverpool open up a 15-point advantage at the top of the table.
Such is their advantage, Arsenal are now closer to 10th-placed Fulham than the league leaders.
The Merseysiders have a seemingly unassailable lead at the summit, even given Arsenal’s game in hand.
But when could Liverpool’s coronation as champions be confirmed?
The Reds are not back in Premier League action until April 2nd, following next weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at Wembley and the international break. The club’s league season resumes with a Merseyside Derby against Everton.
Even if Arsenal win all of their upcoming games, Liverpool will be crowned champions if they take a maximum of 16 points from their final nine games of the campaign.
After Everton’s visit to Anfield, Liverpool travel to West London to face Fulham, before clashes with West Ham (H), Leicester (A), Tottenham (H), and Chelsea (A). Should the title be secured at Chelsea, Liverpool’s first game as champions will be against Arsenal on May 10th.
These are their fixtures left in the Premier League…
