A number of leading players in the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona have opted to part ways with their personal physical trainers, since the appointment of new head coach Hansi Flick.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.

Prior to this season, a whole host of Barcelona’s stars are understood to have employed physical experts for their own individualised work, away from the club’s training base.

But this is no longer the case.

As per MD, the sheer intensity of the workload placed on the Blaugrana’s players whilst at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper is considered sufficient for optimal physical condition.

The addition of Julio Tous – a renowned expert in all matters fitness – to Hansi Flick’s staff has proven one key element in as much.
