A surprising and potentially damaging Leicester City rumour has hit the headlines on Wednesday morning. It appears Foxes head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is upset with one of his star LCFC players. It is fair to say that the Dutchman's tenure on Filbert Way hasn't gone well. In fact, it's unravelled as more of a disaster from where I'm sitting at least. Is Leicester City boss Ruud van Nistelrooy really unhappy with dominant Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy?

It has been alleged that van Nistelrooy is dissatisfied with the apparently 'huge Leicester influence' enjoyed by the similarly celebrated attacker. RvN was too one of the greatest top flight centre forwards of his era. So you'd think they would have a rather simpatico outlook together.

But I'm not sure the 48-year-old ever had the ear of the then Man United chairman. Nor did Alex Ferguson likely defer to van Nistelrooy.

Yet Vardy wields the kind of power at King Power Stadium that sportspeople dream of. And, to be fair to the former England international - he's paid the cost to be the boss!
