Unfortunately for Jack Grealish, the 24/25 season hasn’t been his best campaign. Injuries and fitness issues have restricted his performances this season. There have been flashes of quality from the England international at times but his form this season has been disappointing. Grealish also missed out on selection in Thomas Tuchel’s recent England squad. Now a new report indicates that Grealish has spent the international break on a family holiday and putting in fitness work with a personal trainer. With that in mind, could Grealish help Manchester City end the 24/25 season on a high note?
A report from Matt Law, Jason Burt and Mike McGrath for the Telegraph spent part of the international break on a family holiday. The Telegraph report adds that Jack Grealish also spent time working with a personal trainer in a bid to return in the best physical condition ahead of the closing stages of the 24/25 season.
Based on the Telegraph’s report there is a chance that Grealish could be ready to make an impact over the closing stages of this season. The best chance for the Manchester City winger to earn his way into Thomas Tuchel’s next England squad is to perform for Manchester City. If that occurs it could be to City’s benefit.
Pep Guardiola’s side faces a battle to secure Champions League qualification over the final stages of this season. They also have an FA Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth coming up this weekend. If Grealish can return fit and ready to perform he could have a key role to play on both fronts. In a disappointing season for the England international, he could end it on a high note.
The writing may be on the wall for Jack Grealish’s Manchester City career. But the opportunity is there for him to make an impact on the 24/25 season for Pep Guardiola’s side. If he can do that there may be something to take from this season for the England international. It appears that he has given himself the best opportunity to do just that over the international break. Now he has to perform on the pitch if he is given that opportunity by Pep Guardiola.
