According to L’Équipe, Wolverhampton Wanderers are in negotiations with Lens to sign Kevin Danso (26) on loan until the end of the season. The Ligue 1 club would prefer to send the Austrian international on loan to the Premier League rather than sell to a divisional rival.
Rennes are also interested in a move to sign Danso before the end of the transfer window. However, Les Sang et Or are prioritising negotiations with Wolves rather than the Breton club. Discussions with the Premier League club have taken place over the possibility of a loan until the end of the season. A purchase option of €25m has also been discussed between the two clubs.
The Lens centre-back is yet to validate the idea of moving to the Premier League on a temporary basis. Both the French outfit and Wolves have some convincing to do to make the 26-year-old believe that such a transfer would be the best option for him. The former Southampton loanee is rather sceptical of the idea.
