Yang named in SPFL Team of the Week after St Mirren display

Celtic winger Yang has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week after his weekend display. The South Korean attacker came off the bench to replace Nicolas Kühn midway through the second half with the game evenly poised in Paisley.

Yang scored twice, either side of his assist of Daizen Maeda, as Brendan Rodgers’ side went 16 points clear at the top of the Premiership.

Yang was included in the SPFL TOTW, recognising his fine display at the SMISA Stadium.

After the game, Brendan revealed that Yang has benefitted from his girlfriend visiting, resulting in a morale boost for the 22-year-old. The club will be hoping that he can keep this form up as he looks to be the latest to benefit from the tutelage of Brendan.
