Of course, the most exciting aspect of Inter Milan’s journey in the Champions League this season has hardly been the financial one.

However, that does not mean that it isn’t a significant boon for the Nerazzurri.

The Champions League is more lucrative than ever. UEFA have expanded the format of the competition, and with it, the amount of prize money on offer.

Inter finished fourth in the new “league phase” of the Champions League. And then they have reached the final of the competition, knocking out Bayern Munich and Barcelona along the way.

All of this has brought a huge influx of cash into the Nerazzurri’s coffers.

Inter Milan have now guaranteed themselves prize money earnings far into triple figures.

The Gazzetta note that the Nerazzurri have already secured €133 million in Champions League revenues. As have their opponents in the final, Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, if Inter are to win that final, it would be worth €10.5 million in additional prize money.

Therefore, Inter will be hoping for total revenues of €144.5 million if they are able to make their Champions League dream come true.

Moreover, the Gazzetta highlight, it is not just prize money that has come as a big financial boost to Inter.

There is also the gate receipt revenues from the big Champions League matches at the San Siro.

From second leg clashes against Bayern Munich and Barcelona alone, Inter have brought in around €25 million in revenues.
