Ivan Juric has left Southampton after the Saints confirmed their relegation from the Premier League at the weekend. Those two realities were already accepted by the Saints supporters, but it didn't make the pills any less bitter to swallow when they were confirmed.

So, for next season, only one thing is known among the St Marys faithful; they will be playing in the Championship for the second time in three seasons. Everything else, including which players will remain and which coach will be at the helm, remains a mystery.

Just like when Russell Martin was fired from Southampton in the middle of this season, now is the time for tabloids to make their money. Do not be surprised if thousands of names are thrown into the equation to replace Ivan Juric, this is just part of the parcel with managerial switches.

As per a report from GIVEMESPORT, there are currently three options on Southampton's shortlist to replace Ivan Juric.

3 Ivan Juric replacements on Southampton's shortlist

1. Danny Rohl

The first (and least surprising) name on Southampton's list is Danny Rohl. The German manager has experience at Southampton already, and he's currently doing a great job at Sheffield Wednesday. Already having Championship experience, he is a lot of people's preferred option to replace Ivan Juric.

GMS has claimed that Johannes Spors, Southampton's sporting director, appreciates Danny Rohl. Since Spors is the deciding factor with most Southampton decisions (I know, scary), Rohl is considerably high in the Saints' estimations.

However, he is not alone.

2. Liam Rosenior

Another name considered by Southampton is Liam Rosenior, the Strasbourg head coach. Currently managing in Ligue 1, it is hardly a surprise that Rosenior is still considered for openings in England.

Rosenior almost secured a playoff place for his former club Hull City last season, only narrowly missing out. Some found it controversial, but he was sacked for missing out. As it stands, though, Liam Rosenior has Strasbourg fourth in Ligue 1 and with a perfect record over the last five league games. So, he definitely shouldn't be overlooked.

3. Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard's legacy as a player can never be questioned. He is one of the best midfielders the Premier League has ever seen, after all. However, Lampard's managerial standing is certainly up for debate. Namely, the fact that he has left a lot to be desired at each of his clubs.

However, Derby County fans will be the first to admit that they have been holding out for a manager like Frank Lampard ever since he left. I mean, the Rams might be more hesitant to slate management given their great form right now, but it can be said that nobody has had the impact that Lampard had there, yet.

So, perhaps Lampard's level is the Championship, as it stands. He would certainly rise to the occasion of managing Southampton, who could have a nice budget to play around with.

Southampton should also consider Simon Rusk long-term (maybe)

Let's see how things pan out during his interim period in charge, but Southampton must not ignore the fact that Simon Rusk could be a good manager for the long term. While the interim period between Juric and Martin was a tiny pool, the Saints looked competent with Rusk at the helm (which is more than can be said for Juric and Martin).

Of course, Rohl is (and should be) the main option for Southampton. It's pretty easy to see why. However, if the deal falls through (touch wood it doesn't), Rusk will be there... Like he often is.
