Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League against Fulham on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils were far from their best in the attacking department, but they won the game with their only shot on target.

Lisandro Martinez’s effort in the 78th minute found the back of the net with the help of a deflection.

Alejandro Garnacho played 81 minutes against the Cottagers, but there continues to remain speculation over his future.

Manager Ruben Amorim has personally acknowledged that he does not know whether the Argentine will stay at the club.

Napoli have been interested in Garnacho for the last few weeks, and they are planning to step up negotiations.

Amidst this, Garnacho has broken his silence on Instagram stories. He posted a picture of him with a four-word caption: ‘Well done yesterday boys’.

Garnacho has had a good season with the Red Devils despite his inconsistency. He has registered eight goals and five assists from 34 appearances in all competitions.

The 20-year-old is predominantly a left-sided winger, but he has had to adapt to an attacking midfield role since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as the manager.

The Argentine has done reasonably well under his tutelage, but United are open to cashing in on him this winter to recoup funds for purchasing a new left wing-back.

Napoli are hoping to reach an agreement for around £50 million. With the transfer deadline approaching, United need to make a quick decision over Garnacho’s future.

They can’t let the transfer saga drag until deadline day. Hopefully, we will get some clarity over the situation in the coming days with Napoli set to resume talks.
