Reports from Brazil suggest that Carlo Ancelotti will begin life as the new head coach of Brazil immediately after the conclusion of Real Madrid’s LaLiga campaign, and that he will give his first squad announcement in Rio De Janeiro the following day.

Reports at the beginning of the week confirm that there is an agreement in place for Ancelotti to become the new head coach of the Brazil national team at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The legendary Italian head coach met with CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues at the start of the week, and has since returned to Madrid along with another CBF representative to finalise the last few details of their agreement according to reports from Relevo.

There are suggestions that the 65-year-old could sign his contract at the end of the week, after Madrid play Celta Vigo.

According to reports from Brazilian outlet O Globo, Brazil want Ancelotti to begin work immediately after the LaLiga season finishes and before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup.

That is because there are crucial World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay taking place on June 4 and June 9 respectively, which the CBF wants Ancelotti to take charge of.

According to updates from O Globo, it is now part of the agreement between Ancelotti and the CBF that the head coach will begin life in charge of Brazil in May rather than June.

Tuesday’s report claims that Ancelotti will give his first Brazil squad announcement in Rio De Janeiro on May 26, which is one day after Real Madrid will finish their LaLiga commitments for 2024-25, as they are scheduled to play Real Sociedad on May 25.
