Manchester United’s Antony once again added to his growing reputation in Spain as he helped his Real Betis side to a 5-1 victory over Real Valladolid last night.
The Brazil international played a major part in Betis’ third goal of the night.
He ran at the Valladolid defence and played a perfectly weighted ball that was cut back by Aitor Ruibal for Isco to score.
It was classified as a key pass and he also had 84 touches of the ball.
Antony made 86% of his passes and helped create one big chance in the match. He was also dangerous on the ball, completing three dribble attempts.
He had less luck in front of goal however, having one shot off target and three efforts blocked by the visitors’ defence.
The winger was busy in a defensive capacity, winning seven ground duels in the match.
Tyrell Malacia was also in action for PSV Eindhoven as they defeated FC Twente 3-1 away from home.
The fullback was only on the pitch for the final 12 minutes of action and failed to make much of an impact on the match.
He made a total of two tackles, to go alongside an interception and a clearance for his team.
Malacia did manage to win his two ground duels and completed all five of his passes on a quiet night of action.
Radek Vitek also played 90 minutes on Wednesday night as FC Blau-Weiß Linz defeated Rapid Wien 2-1.
He made two saves from inside the box and also two high claims.
The 2022 Youth Cup winner was also called upon to punch the ball clear as his side held on for a crucial victory, their first in five matches.
Unfortunately, his passing left a lot to be desired as he only completed 30% of his passing attempts and an incredibly low four out of 20 long balls.
He did make two clearances and won one aerial battle for his side, however.
