Premier League giants Arsenal are hopeful of having a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks back fit and available for their upcoming meeting with Real Madrid.
That’s according to John Cross of The Mirror, who points towards Bukayo Saka as the player in question.
Wide-man Saka, for his part, has been sidelined since all the way back in December, owing to a serious hamstring injury.
Initially, it was rumoured that the England international could be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. Recent weeks, though, have seen claims begin to mount that Saka, in fact, is much closer to a return than previously thought.
So much so that, as per the aforementioned John Cross:
‘Bukayo Saka is eyeing a comeback in time to face Real Madrid. Arsenal winger Saka is on course to return in time for the Champions League quarter final at the Emirates on Tuesday, April 8.’
Arsenal and Real Madrid will lock horns in the first leg of their continental tie in north London, before facing off again a week later, at the Santiago Bernabéu.
