Matheus Cunha quickly became a key player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, showcasing his versatility by excelling in multiple attacking roles. Whether playing as an attacking midfielder, supporting striker, or even a center-forward, the Brazilian made an immediate impact.
His impressive performances didn’t go unnoticed, with top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keeping an eye on his progress, according to Fichajes. Despite his strong form at Wolves, rumors circulated that the club might be willing to sell him for over €70 million.
Arsenal appeared to be in the lead for his signature, though Mirror Football highlighted that Wolves were determined to hold onto their star unless a substantial offer came their way.

FootballTransfers reports that personal terms are not expected to be a problem in Arsenal’s pursuit of Cunha. The Brazilian forward is currently in a contract dispute with his club, which has led Arsenal to rekindle their long-standing interest.
Arsenal have been in touch with Cunha’s representatives, and the report reveals that those familiar with the situation have confirmed that personal terms won’t stand in the way of a deal.
The real challenge, however, lies in the price. Arsenal and Wolves are far apart in their valuation of the 25-year-old. Wolves are reportedly only willing to sell in January for a fee over £70 million, while Arsenal are not willing to offer more than £45 million for a player who isn’t a top priority, unlike other targets such as Benjamin Sesko.
