Arsenal and Chelsea meet in a London derby of huge consequence in the Premier League this weekend.
Arsenal’s title challenge has faltered after three without a win and the Gunners are in danger of being dragged into the top-four race. Chelsea sit fourth in the table after successive wins and can move within three points of the Gunners with a win.
Both teams secured European progress in midweek. Arsenal set up a blockbuster Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid, after easing past PSV 9-3 on aggregate. Chelsea are also into the last eight of European competition after beating Copenhagen in the Europa Conference League.
Arteta’s Arsenal side have had the upper hand in this fixture of late with just one defeat in the last 11 encounters.
Mikel Arteta’s options are set to be unchanged for today’s clash. Bukayo Saka is targeting a return after the international break following a long spell out with a hamstring injury.
Takehiro Tomiyasu remains out with a knee injury, while forwards Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will not feature again this season. Gabriel Martinelli could be given the nod at centre-forward after making his return from a hamstring issue.
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Nwaneri, Martinelli, Trossard.
Arsenal host Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday 16th March 2025. Kick-off at the Emirates is 13:30 GMT.
This match will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.
