Paris Saint-Germain are exploring options to bolster their attack for the long term, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán emerging as a potential target.
CaughtOffside reports that PSG are still weighing up whether to meet Villa’s £60 million valuation for Durán as they assess his suitability for their plans.
The report also notes interest from several top clubs, including Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, who have all inquired about a potential deal.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG remain interested in Durán but face a challenge in negotiations due to Villa’s £80 million asking price. This figure reflects the player’s impressive form and recent contract extension, with Villa reportedly unwilling to sell unless they receive an exceptional offer.
PSG, however, believe Durán’s market value is about £25 million lower than Villa’s current demands.

Jacobs has confirmed that Aston Villa turned down a substantial £57 million bid from West Ham for Durán. This marks West Ham’s second attempt to sign the player during this transfer window. Villa are reportedly unwilling to sell in January, with only a bid in the region of £85 million (€100 million) potentially altering their stance—a figure also quoted by PSG.
Journalist Matteo Moretto recently shared that PSG are still in talks with Durán, although the negotiations are moving at a slow pace. Aston Villa’s asking price of over €70 million has added complexity to the discussions.
Despite the hurdles, PSG remain engaged in the process, with Durán continuing to be a top priority for the club this summer.
