Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are pushing to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal before the transfer deadline.

Zinchenko has started just twice in the Premier League this season and Arsenal will consider bids for the 28-year-old, who has just 18 months left on his contract.

The summer signing of Riccardo Calafiori and emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly has increased Arsenal’s depth at left-back and proposals will be listened to before next Monday’s deadline. Jurrien Timber has also played at left-back during the current campaign.

Zinchenko signed for Arsenal from Manchester City in a £32m deal in 2022 and as a key figure during his debut campaign. The Ukraine international helped the Gunners to Champions League qualification after a six-season absence but has seen his influence decrease over the last 18 months.

Zinchenko, who can also play in midfield, previously won four Premier League titles and five domestic cups during his time at Manchester City.

Arsenal are believed to value Zinchenko at around €20m (£16.8m) and Atletico are leading the race as Diego Simeone looks to bolster his backline. The Spanish side are second in the La Liga title race and keen to bring in depth with Javi Galan currently sidelined.
